Create Cutline Dialog

The raster operation create cutline dialog window allows the user to null out pixels that are outside the area of one or more geometries.

The dialog controls are:

  • Files To Process

A list of one or more geospatial imagery files that the user wants to apply one or more cutline geometries.
  • Remove All

When this button is clicked all the file paths are removed from the list.
  • List - Browse

When this button is clicked a file select dialog is displayed for the user to select one or more geospatial imagery files to be added to the list.
  • Please Select The Output File Format

A dropdown list control that displays the supported output file formats.
  • Please Specify The Output Folder Path

The directory path where the new, cutline image files should be created. A new image with the same name as the original will be created in the output folder path.
  • Output Folder Path - Browse

When clicked a folder browse dialog window is displayed allowing the user to select the output folder path.
  • Please Select The Target Coordinate System

A read-only text box that displays the currently selected target coordinate system. Use the Browse button to change the selection.
  • Target Coordinate System - Browse

When clicked the Coordinate System Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to select the target coordinate system.
  • The Layer To Use For The Cutline

A drop down list box that contains a list of polygon vector layers in the Map View window that can be used as a cutline source for the operation.
  • The Features To Use For The Cutline

A drop down list box that specifies what features from the selected cutline layer to use for processing. Select "Use All The Features" option to use all the geometries in the layer for the cutline. Select "Use Only The Selected Features" option to only use the features that are selected in the layer for the cutline. Select "Use Only The Visible Features" option to only use the features that are visible in the layer for the cutline.
  • Clip To Extent Of Cutline

Select this option to clip the extent of the output image(s) to the extents of the cutline geometry. If this option is not selected then the resulting output images will use the extent of the source image(s).
  • Include All Pixels That Touch The Cutline Edge

Select this option to include all pixels in the output image(s) that intersect or are completely within the interior of the cutline geometry. Pixels that do not intersect the cutline geometry will be nulled out (set to transparent). If this option is not selected then only the pixels that are completely contained within the cutline geometry will be included and partially intersecting pixels will be nulled out.
  • Replace Existing Files

Select this option if existing files in the output folder path with the same file names as the source images should be replaced.
  • Advanced

When clicked the Advanced Raster Options Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to specify additional options for the operation.
  • OK

When this button is clicked the dialog queues the Create Cutline task with the Parallel Processing Server and closes the dialog. Use the Task Pane window to monitor the task progress. A popup balloon window and the Task Pane will alert the user when the task is complete.
  • Cancel

    Closes the dialog window.
