Convert RGB To Palette Dialog

The raster operation convert rgb to palette dialog window allows the user to convert one or more rgb (red, green, blue) geospatial imagery files to a paletted (color table) image.

The dialog controls are:

  • Files To Process

A list of one or more RGB geospatial imagery files that the user wants to convert into paletted images.
  • Remove All

When this button is clicked all the file paths are removed from the list.
  • List - Browse

When this button is clicked a file select dialog is displayed for the user to select one or more RGB geospatial imagery files to be added to the list.
  • Please Select The Output File Format

A dropdown list control that displays the supported output file formats.
  • Please Specify The Output Folder Path

The directory path where the new, converted image files should be created. A new image with the same name as the original will be created in the output folder path.
  • Output Folder Path - Browse

When clicked a folder browse dialog window is displayed allowing the user to select the output folder path.
  • Specify A Palette File Path

A textbox that contains a file path to a color palette file. If provided the process will use the color entries from the color palette file for the palette entries in the resulting image(s). If left blank the process will compute the palette entries using the Median Cut algorithm and then dither the RGB pixels from the source file(s) using the Floyd Steinberg algorithm.
  • Specify A Palette File Path - Browse

When clicked a select file dialog window is displayed allowing the user to select a color palette file.
  • Replace Existing Files

Select this option if existing files in the output folder path with the same file names as the source images should be replaced.
  • Advanced

When clicked the Advanced Raster Options Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to specify additional options for the operation.
  • OK

When this button is clicked the dialog queues the Convert RGB To Palette task with the Parallel Processing Server and closes the dialog. Use the Task Pane window to monitor the task progress. A popup balloon window and the Task Pane will alert the user when the task is complete.
  • Cancel

    Closes the dialog window.
