Document Toolbar

The document toolbar control allows users to create, open, close, save and print Map Documents .

The toolbar buttons are:

• New
  
  When this button is clicked a new Map Document is created and displayed by a new Map View window inside the main application window.
  
  
• Open
  
  When this button is clicked an Open File Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to open an existing Map Document file. Map Document files have a .axis extension.
  
  
• Close
  
  When this button is clicked the active Map Document and related Map View window are closed. The user is prompted to save any modifications to the document if they exist.
  
  
• Save
  
  When this button is clicked the active Map Document is saved to disk. If the document has not been previously saved to a file a Save As Dialog window is displayed.
  
  
• Save As
  
  When this button is clicked a File Save As Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to select the folder and file name where the document should be saved.
  
  
• Print
  
  When this button is clicked the Print Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to set printing options and to print the document.
  
  
• Quick Print
  
  When this button is clicked the document is automatically sent to the default printer.
  
  
• Print Preview
  
  When this button is clicked the document is rendered in the Print Preview View allowing the user to see a preview of the map before it is sent to the printer.
  
  
• Print Setup
  
  When this button is clicked the Print Setup Dialog window is displayed allowing the user to set printing options.
